Snow Carving for Frost Fest

  • Across from Northland College 1101 State HWY 1 Thief River Falls United States (map)

We are seeking a few volunteers to assist with a snow carving event across from Northland College. The carving starts at 3:00 PM and will continue until we finish or it becomes too cold to work comfortably. To help with the chilly conditions, we'll have a small portable ice fishing house and a heater set up as a warming area.

Volunteers are welcome to join at any time after 3:00 PM, and staggering arrivals could be beneficial. Even if you can't stay for long, your presence to watch the carving would be appreciated. You can see the piles of snow across from Northland College in the tree area.

If you know anyone who might be interested in participating, or if you yourself would like to join, please let us know at Serendipity Art Hub. We’ll have some carving tools available, but if anyone could bring additional items to carve the snow or even a favorite stick, that could be helpful as well. We will be using this photo of a snow carved fish as the inspiration for the carving.

Looking forward to seeing some creativity, teamwork in the snow, and those who would simply like to watch the process!
